Deep Cleaning Checklist For Your Entire Home

Nothing feels quite as satisfying and pleasing as coming home to a clean house. Since cleaning your house from top to bottom can be overwhelming and time-consuming, divide this task into smaller chunks like focusing on one room at a time. Cleaning your house regularly keeps it organized and gives it an orderly look.

The most important thing while deep cleaning your house is setting a schedule. This is not a thing you can handle after work, so plan accordingly and appropriately. Make a list of the rooms you will need to deep clean and the tasks you must complete as you go. It may be best to give yourself more than one day to complete your deep cleaning, though it may depend on the size of your home. If you have a particularly large area to deal with, you might have to spend a couple of days.

Cleaning Checklist - What Do You Need?

When you are deep cleaning, make sure that you are working from the top of the room to the bottom. Doing this, any dust that falls down as you clean different items in the room can be vacuumed once you finish. Other than keeping some important tips in mind, you must also have a good stock of cleaning products that will help you deep clean your house easily.

Do not forget to have disposable rags, scrub pads or towels that you do not mind throwing away. During the cleaning process, you will have to use these extensively and will not be reusable. Therefore, going with a disposable product will be better. Always have two buckets when you are cleaning your house. One bucket is for the dirty/greasy water and the other one is for fresh water. Without having two buckets, you will put unnecessary burden on yourself when you will have to change the water in the bucket again and again.

Have your favorite degreaser, dish soap and disinfectant spray with you. Remember to use rubber gloves while doing all of this. Also, keep an abrasive scrub pad for hard surfaces and a spray bottle with a mixture of vinegar and water to remove stains off of sensitive surfaces which are prone to scratches. While deep cleaning, you have to clean each and every cornet of your house. Faucets, windows, ceiling fans, carpets, blinds and doors are some house items which are not regularly cleaned. That is why you have to provide additional consideration when you are performing deep cleaning in your home.

How To Deep Clean The Kitchen

Your kitchen may require some amount of cleaning every day. But for deep cleaning your kitchen, you need to focus on the large appliances, as well as the majority of the surfaces. Starting with the refrigerator, take everything out and clean each shelf as you go. You can also take out the shelves and clean them with warm soapy water. Most drawers are removable and should be washed in this way. Remember to wipe the outer surface and handles of the fridge as well.

After that, move on the microwave oven. If you do not have a self-cleaning oven, you will have to use a cleaner. For standard ovens, consider lining the bottom with aluminum foil for easier future cleaning although this will not work with convection ovens. For microwave, take out any removable trays and wash in warm, soapy water.

Then you can move on to the relatively small appliances such as toasters and juicers. Do not forget to clean cabinets, shelves and drawers. A damp towel can be used to clean spots, spills and splatters by soaking it in a high-quality all-purpose cleaner. Remove everything from the counters and shelves so that you can easily wipe them with a cleaner as well.

Deep Cleaning The Bathroom

Bathrooms can get pretty dirty if they are not cleaned properly. In bathrooms, tub and the shower demand special attention. If you have a shower caddy, take it out and wash it properly. It may even need to be replaced. Shower head should be cleaned with an old toothbrush and a bathroom cleaner. You may need some heavy-duty cleaners for soap scum or mildew stains. The toothbrush works well on tub jets and other small, hard to reach places in your bathroom.

Take everything off of the counter and sink and wipe them down with a bathroom cleaner as well. You can use a toothbrush here as well to scrub away dirt around the drains and faucets. For cleaning the toilet, squirt some cleaner
